We freaking love podcasts. We love them so much that we do our own. Procras10ation Episode 5 – The One Where We Give Pod Props allows us to geek out about all of the podcasts that we love and listen to each and every week.   The podcats vary. * Hollywood Babble On – Ralph Garman and Kevin Smith live on stage and blasted into your ears. Topics vary but the love these two have for bringing the funny is beyond belief. They have weekly segments that help them hit the high points in entertainment and beyond.

* Steve Austin Unleashed – Steve Austin getting the bullshit off his brain. One of our favorite podcasts every week. We love this show so much that we were concerned about Ted Fowler during the hurricanes. Very diverse podcast. Wrestling to MMA, hunting to sitting in traffic.

* Tell Em Steve Dave – We are part of the Ant Army we want our 4 Color Demon patches. Tell Em Steve Dave is a reference to the Kevin Smith Jersey-Verse. We love this podcast. Walt Flanagan, Bryan Johnson, and Brian Quinn (Also: Ming Chen, Mike Zapcic, Sunday Jeff, Git Em Steve Dave and many others).

* Nick Toons Podcast – hosted by Hector Navarro – deep digs on all things animation. Clean and family friendly. Work-friendly for Daniel. Their discussions are not just Nickelodeon based, they cover other topics as well.

* Daniel is the reason why arcades cost what the cost. He likes to break things. Worst arcade story ever. Jason is afraid of getting hepatitis from the video games. The floors in arcades are worse than the floors in dollar theaters.

* Shout out to the arcade at the Island in Pigeon Forge – it is called Arcade City. Fantastic Arcade!!!

* Daniel has too many consoles. It is a bit sad.

* Jason wants one of the retro systems that will play all of the various catridges.

Top 5 Retro Video Games

Daniel

* Super Street Fighter 2 – Daniel is hooked on fighting games. Super Street Fighter 2 was the original idea for DLC by video game companies. 4 characters got added with the SUper version.

* Sonic the Hedgehog 2 – Daniel got his with his Genesis console. Sonic one came with the system and he had a certificate to get Sonic 2 in the mail.

* Super Mario Brothers 3 – groundbreaking game – long game lots of new features that helped the gameplay and were very inventive.

* Galaga – whether on a console or an arcade console it is always a solid game. A pattern game that at some point tests your ability to memorize a pattern and then tests your ability to move your hands really fast.

* Avengers Multiplayer Arcade Game – which leads to a discussion of the TMNT side-scroller, X-Men side-scroller, and the Simpson’s side-scroller.

* We discover that the Avengers game only had 4 playable characters. We actually look it up – who would have thought.

* Using the special abilities on the X-Men game slowly killed you.

Jason

* Sonic the Hedgehog 2 – We did have a crossover. Sonic 1 was AMrio on speed. Almost too fast to play. After you learned the moves you

* Populous – Sega Genesis old school – Hours dedicated to this game. Only playable in the Master system with the volume control. The worlds had a number that you could choose or it could be random. Think seeds for Minecraft.

* Goldeneye 64 – should be higher on Jason’s list just due to the number of hours played.

You all want superpowers. We all want to be superheroes… or villains. Procras10ation Episode 3 – The One Where We Want Superpowers lets us journey into our comic book heritage. After listening to this, we might know a little too much about comic book superheroes. 

Show Notes:

* Flight – Superman style

* Teleportation – Nightcrawler style

* Telekinesis and Telepathy – Daniel is a little bit Jean Grey. We debate whether Jean Grey was any good after she lost the green Spandex.

* Fire Generation and Ice Generation – who had both powers in each universe. Daniel thinks that the Super Scroll had more than just the Fantastic Four powers but Jason is thinking about just the SuperSkrull. Equinox had both powers in the Marvel universe.

* Invisibility – Daniel doesn’t want to be a criminal – he also doesn’t want to have the force field – Daniel just wants to be gone from the world at the snap of a finger.

Jason

*  Gem of Cyttorak – I get to be the Juggernaut

* Teleportation – Nightcrawler style – unlimited distance and using a cell phone and GPS – Teleportation Fart –

* Flight – not Angel style flight, actual flight.

* Healing… Deadpool style. Deadpool sets the bar for healing factors.

* Invisibility – it would have to be Sue Richards invisibility – telekinesis/invisibility – Jason admits that where he superpowered he would probably tend toward being a villain. Force Field invisibility so that you don’t have to nude up everytime you go invisible.
