Leslie is joined by Steve Cotton, the General Secretary of the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF). Under his leadership, the ITF has been a key advocate for the Teamsters' international pressure efforts at XPO Logisitics.

XPO Logistics is an American based company headquartered in Greenwich, Conn. headed by CEO Bradley Jacobs.

Jacobs is notorious for buying companies, consolidating them, then sell the company off to gain a large profit.

The game plan is simple, Jacobs flips companies for personal gain at the expense of middle class and low wage workers, by slicing workers wages, health insurance, and benefits.

The issues facing XPO workers is not isolated to the United States, there are troubling reports from European unions that XPO Europe is engaging in similar behavior, including gender discrimination, unsafe working conditions and exploitation throughout its supply chain.

The ITF helped to pressure XPO at the European shareholder meeting last Friday in Lyon, France. In fact, the three French unions with XPO workers struck the company for three hours during the meeting in solidarity with the Teamster's U.S. campaign.

During today's interview, Steve Cotton also discusses his work on maritime and flags of convenience to protect workers on the high seas.
