This week Heyward couldn't be with us but we had an extra special guest come on in Paul's wife Kristin (Yay!!) This week we talk about the importance of engaging the types of messages that we encounter in movies, music, books and other media (did we really talk about Christian Dior?) with a mind that thinks about the types of messages the world is trying to send us.  There is no neutrality and therefore the world is trying to influence us with their messages and we need to be able to recognize those messages and be able to compare and refute them with the only source of truth and that is the Bible.

Another great episode for you guys so join us!

This week we continue looking at worship and the different types of worship services churches use.  We find the no matter the format, true worship happens only with true worshippers.  The worship in the church reflects the hearts of those in the church so if the church's worship is off it is probably because the worship in the hearts of the congregation is off.  Another great episode with insight from Heyward so check it out

Paul gets back from vacation and we get into the issue of worship.  Everyone worships something every moment of their existence so the the question then is "what is the object of your worship?"  What does your life say about the object of your worship?  God has commanded that we worship in Spirit and in Truth.  So where do we find the truth of how God wants to be worshipped?  This and much more is discussed in this episode.

This week we are taking on the topic of the recent ad by Nike and looking at the content of the ad from a Biblical perspective.  We also take on the topic of kneeling during the anthem  and discuss how we should use the Bible as the lens with which we see cultural issues.  This is an important conversation so buckle up because we have a lot to say!

Podcast description

Thanks for joining us again on Project 224, where we apply the true wisdom of Christ to the world around us.

Heyward is back and this week we dive into the killing of Botham Jean.  There are many issues that surround this event that we discuss including the Imago Dei, learning to hear a matter out before judgment and the racial ties that are present in this issue.  We look at the response that we should have as those that serve a God of both justice and grace while looking at some factors that play into this tragic event.  Lastly, we discuss how we find true justice in the Gospel and that is why the Gospel living and Gospel sharing church is needed to give answers and hope in these times.

Welcome back to project 224 Where we take the true knowledge found only in christ and apply to the world around us

On this episode..Hey where did Heyward go!?! And who is this Seth guy?

Heyward is MIA (Don't worry he'll be back soon) so Seth comes in and we have a discussion about emotions and being offended and how Scripture informs our emotions to how we see insults and offense.  We also take some time to talk about the importance of discipleship.  Discipleship is hard as it takes transparency and submission but it is so beneficial to our lives.  All that and more, including a weird tangent about having church in a brewery (what?!?)... how'd that happen.

Thanks for joining us again on Project 224. This week we look at what work and what the Bible says about work.  We learn God has always intended us to be productive from the beginning of creation and wants us to take dominion or master the earth and its many facets.  We learn how we find a job and how to connect our theology of God's sovereignty to how we decide a future career.
