  • #174: Cronin and Connor Talk August Big Fish Fundraiser
On this episode, Cronin and I talk about our second annual fundraiser coming up in August. This year, things will be a little bit different than the first time around.
First off, we will be doing the fundraiser to benefit the Big Fish Foundation started by Brian Chontosh to connect with veterans and help prevent veteran suicide. I attached a link below to their website if you'd like to learn more! Our fundraising goal is $25,000 this year so we will need all of the help and support that we can get!
Second, this year we will be doing a CrossFit Hero WOD every hour on the hour for 24 hours in pairs. We are hoping to get at least a few other pairs to join us for all 24 hours but we are also encouraging people to stop by whenever they can for however long they can stay. Whether that's for an hour, two hours, or twelve hours, come stop by! We appreciate the support!
Thank you all for listening and for supporting this show and fundraiser!

  • #173: A New Era- Project Warman
    Introducing Project Warman.
A little different than what you're used to from me. Don't worry, Up Before You is a still thing(and I hear they have great coffee). But the name, "Up Before You" was limiting me in who and what I could talk about. The message simply wasn't where I wanted it to be.
Enter Project Warman. This name and idea encompasses everything that I'm about. How? Why you might ask? Because it's literally everything that I'm doing rolled into one. CrossFit, Coaching, Coffee, Writing, Personal Fitness, and Adventures in life all rolled into one podcast show.
Ultimately, this will widen the scope of topics and individuals that I will be able to talk to and about and thus, enhance the experience for you, the listener and fan.
Bottom line is we're back. And we're back better than ever. The only way to go from here is up. So buckle up and enjoy the journey.
One thing is for certain: Things will never be the same.

  • #172: Life As An Ongoing Project
This week I have a conversation with myself about viewing life as an ongoing project. Always changing, evolving, and growing. I'm going through some big changes right now that are both frightening and exciting. Those are two very strong ways of describing how one feels about something, I know. On this episode, I dive into a book project I'm working on with a very close friend of mine, changes with Up Before You and the evolution of the brand, what we've built so far, and what it's going to look like going forward.
Like I said at the beginning, life is a journey and we're always changing, adapting, and growing.
    Welcome to the future.

  • #170: Stop Waiting For Things To Be Perfect. Just Do Something EveryDay.
I'm going back to the bread and butter for a little while, removing the clutter and the guests, and just getting back to me talking about stuff. What I'm going through at the time, topics that come to mind, and just some general thoughts. Super simple, yet, much needed right now.
I hope you guys enjoy these episodes and find them valuable!
    Thank you for listening!!

  • #168: Win The Moment, Say Yes When You Want To Say No, Say No When You Want To Say Yes
Everybody wants to win the day.
After all, everyone and their brother is telling you that's what you need to do every day on Instagram, right?
But who has the discipline to win this moment? And then the next, and the next, and the next until finally, they can honestly say that they won the day?
You don't win or lose the day when you wake up. You win or lose the day when the day is over. And how does that happen? By doing things you want to say no to and by not doing things that you want to say yes to.
    Confused?
    Me too.
    Let's dive into it.
