Thousands of people protesting the vaccine mandate have descended on Wellington after travelling from all ends of the motu.

The convoy of cars has caused traffic chaos through the country as the group gathers at the steps of Parliament.

RNZ reporter Kirsty Frame has been watching the protesters roll in at Parliament all morning and spoke to Māni Dunlop.
