Where would this show be without forgotten Thing ripoffs boasting 3 minutes of Doug Bradley in full head makeup choking on tentacles that look like humongous earthworms? In honor (we guess) of its 30-year anniversary, the boys were once again talked into discussing a movie none of them had seen before by friend of the show/past guest Benji, the one and only PROTEUS (1995)! Based on the book SLIMER by Harry Adam Knight, the film version borrows as much from Raimi as it does Carpenter, to varying degrees of success. It’s all worth it for the last 15 minutes of absolute ridiculousness. Come on, we’re investigating this creepy abandoned oil rig with our fanny pack full of drugs - what could go wrong?
