1. Bible translations are created using a method on the specturm from word for word (KJV) or thought for throught (The Message). Word for word means each word was translated as is to create the translate; this can sometimes be hard to read because the linguistics don't transfer from language to language. Thought for thought is when a phrase or thought is translated instead. This allows the translator to create smoother sentences, however it also requires the translator to interjet their interpretation of the passage into the translation. The Message is about as far on the thought for thought spectrum as you can go. There's alot added in (and possibly take out). It's just not a reliable translation.

The next vision Daniel has (Daniel 8) features a ram and he goat. This vision is about Medo-Persia and Greece—the Bible actually confirms this explicitly! There is still a bit of debated prophecy, namely the beginning and end of the 2300 days, well also, how long is 2300 days? It sounds like a dumb question, but once we start talking about it you might start asking yourself the same question...

In Daniel 5 we get to see the fulfillment of the Babylon falling to another empire. In this fulfillment are a lot of lesson but we'll stick to history, the fulfilling of prophecy, and reaffirming how on the nose Daniel's prophecies are. We're also going to discuss the controversy between the Biblical record and the secular one.

After Nebuchadnezzar's dream, he actually builds an image and tries to force people bow and worship. Hananiah, Azariah, and Mishael refuse to bow. This results in a beautiful display of the Most High stepping in. However, it's also great to draw parallels for the future; today we're going to talk about how their brave actions speak to us in the last days.

In this episode we're going to talk about the vision/dream that Nebuchadnezzar had in Daniel 2. Daniel not only receives the interpretation of this vision to tell us that there will be a series of successive kingdoms before the Kingdom of God comes, but God also tells him the dream itself.
