Mummafication

Psychologist - Betty Chetcuti

Listen Later

Betty Chetcuti is a director at the Australian Association of Psychologists, and a psychologist with over 30 years experience. When she became a mother herself, she realised she needed to apply some of the techniques she was using as a psychologist, to being a mother. From here she embarked on research into executive stress and job satisfaction, and applied her findings to create a program to help new mums navigate the colossal changes they’re faced with when they first become mothers.

Betty shares some simple techniques on how to handle external opinion and frustration with your partner. She offers practical cognitive behavioural therapy tools, to help change our own thinking to cope with challenging situations - because "the only thing we can change is our own view of the situation."
