On Monday, November 2nd, Judge Gary Feinerman of the U.S. District Court in Chicago blocked the "public charge" ruling issued by the Department of Homeland Security in 2019. In less than 48 hours, after DHS appealed, it was reinstated through the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and will stand for at least through November 17th.
