Denise started the First Wives Club after watching talented, beautiful, strong, and professionally-driven friends that she loved and admired struggle in their marriage. She came to the realization that there was a need for authentic support – a place where there was a willingness to share openly about the personal sacrifices that marriage demands. It started out as an intimate gathering of friends and she thought that was all it would ever be. Then one day, she posted about the First Wives Club on Facebook, things took off, and a nationwide movement was formed! All of this led to the publishing of her book, "I'm the Good Thing" in 2019. But get this: it almost didn't happen because Denise was hesitant about pushing the button to publish her book. Denise has many professional achievements that all pale in comparison to her role as Chuck Taylor’s wife and Chanise & Ciera Taylor’s mom. The Taylors reside in Charlotte, NC. In addition to overseeing the First Wives Club, Denise works professionally at a Fortune 500 company, is a licensed coach, trainer and speaker with the John Maxwell Team and she is an Independent Pampered Chef consultant (because it’s fun).

Rev. Dr. Zach Mills is a communications instructor, consultant, and author of the award-winning biography and Amazon Bestseller, The Last Blues Preacher: Rev. Clay Evans, BlackLives, and the Faith that Woke the Nation. The Last Blues Preacher won the best biography in the 2019 International Book Awards and was named an Award-Winning Finalist in the Biography category of the 2019 Best Book Awards.

This fall he will join the faculty at Wenzhou-Kean University in Wenzhou, China as a lecturer in the School of Communication, Media, and Journalism and as the founding director of the university’s first Speech & Communications Lab.

He earned his Master of Divinity degree and his Master of Arts in Preaching degree from Vanderbilt University, and his Ph.D. in Communication Studies from Northwestern University. Chris Smith has been writing poems for years but only decided to take the plunge and write a novel at the end of 2014. His first novel, Blood on the Range, is the story of Nathan Todd, a tough, hard-working cowpuncher whose loyalty, quick temper and sense of fair play often get him into situations that test his mettle and his ability to survive. He's always been content on his own, but that all changes when he meets Bridget O'Connell. Nate is fast with a gun but tongue-tied when it comes to women.

Chris graduated from Port Shepstone High School in 2001 and achieved my BCom. Honors in Accounting from the University of KwaZulu Natal, Durban campus. He is currently a Financial Adviser for Liberty and is an accountant by trade.

He's also a huge rugby fan and an avid fly fisherman.
