Denise started the First Wives Club after watching talented, beautiful, strong, and professionally-driven friends that she loved and admired struggle in their marriage. She came to the realization that there was a need for authentic support – a place where there was a willingness to share openly about the personal sacrifices that marriage demands. It started out as an intimate gathering of friends and she thought that was all it would ever be. Then one day, she posted about the First Wives Club on Facebook, things took off, and a nationwide movement was formed! All of this led to the publishing of her book, "I'm the Good Thing" in 2019. But get this: it almost didn't happen because Denise was hesitant about pushing the button to publish her book. Rev. Dr. Zach Mills is a communications instructor, consultant, and author of the award-winning biography and Amazon Bestseller, The Last Blues Preacher: Rev. Clay Evans, BlackLives, and the Faith that Woke the Nation. The Last Blues Preacher won the best biography in the 2019 International Book Awards and was named an Award-Winning Finalist in the Biography category of the 2019 Best Book Awards.

This fall he will join the faculty at Wenzhou-Kean University in Wenzhou, China as a lecturer in the School of Communication, Media, and Journalism and as the founding director of the university’s first Speech & Communications Lab.

Chris Smith has been writing poems for years but only decided to take the plunge and write a novel at the end of 2014.
