Jacob Riglin is photographer behind some of the most beautiful pictures you’ve seen on Instagram. Previously the Director of Content for Beautiful Destinations, today he works for himself under Jacob Media and helps with creative direction and content for brands such as BMW, Adidas, Mvmt & more.
Born and raised in Twickenham, England, he was fortunate to travel around Europe and the West Coast of the U.S. as a kid with his family which exposed him to what the world had to offer. When his passion for photography started to grow on him, he would spend the late hours of the night running around the streets of London taking pictures of everything.
After attending Strodes College he worked two jobs, saved up as much money as he could and spent 3 months traveling around Australia and Asia. Finishing up the trip he was approached by Beautiful Destinations, a global travel brand, and was offered a spot on their team. From there he started flying around the world and creating content for them and their clients. After 2.5 years he was ready to focus on his next venture, his own personal brand.
In this episode he discusses the importance of assessing opportunities and jumping on them, building a solid human connection with people is huge, running around the globe with Sam Kolder, hosting a workshop in Bali for aspiring creators with That One Blond Kid, advice for standing out from the crowd in social media today and wanting to help people look at the world in a beautiful way.

Houston Kraft is a kindness advocate. He’s the Founder of Choose Love Org which sole purpose is to help the world live love a little better everyday. He’s the Co-Founder of Character Strong, a business focused on creating curriculum and training to help build compassionate schools and as of today he has spoken to over 600 schools across the nation.
He spent the first four years of his life in Kennebunk, ME before moving west to Snohomish, WA where he spent his childhood growing up. In high school he started taking speech, theater, debate, drama and leadership which started to give him some sense of direction as to what he wanted to do with his life. He attended Bowdoin College where he became the the president of his class.
After graduating and working alongside Ignite Leadership, he honed in on his storytelling skills and hit the ground running. That first year he spoke to 13 schools and now does on average 135 schools a year. The art of storytelling has become one of his greatest skills. He figures out “the gemstone” of the keynote and connects stories from his own life to help elaborate on the message.
In this episode Houston discusses you can do anything but you can’t do everything, the greatest gift you can give people is perspective, our life is about as big as the things we know, most successful people have grit, the forever skill of balancing and kindness is almost always a sacrifice.

There are somedays you feel like the world is yours and others where the world is up against you. Believe me we all have those days, myself included!
What I tend to do is take a step back, close my eyes and breathe. I think about all the positive things that are in my life and remind myself that there is most definitely someone else out there in this world that has it worse than me. I open my eyes and get back to it.
Take a moment today and try it or anytime that you feel stressed out.

As the great Gary Vee once said, "Don't tear down any buildings in the city, build the tallest one." We can't worry about what other people are doing or we can't waste our time trying to "knock down" whatever they're "building". We're not going to talk trash, we're not going to be a bad person - we're going to let our work speak for us.
What makes a city beautiful is the amount of people, energy and opportunities that there are within it. If we went around burning down everyone buildings (their dreams), we'd have no city and no one to enjoy it with.

Thane Marcus Ringler is an entrepreneur, collaborator, speaker, a host of The Up & Comers Show podcast, author behind From Here To There: A Quarter-Life Perspective On The Path To Mastery and an ex-professional golfer.
Born and raised in Hutchinson, Kansas he first picked up a golf club at the age of 3. Falling in love with the sport he headed west to The Masters University in Santa Clarita, CA where he was the captain of the golf team for 2 years. After graduating, he spent the next 3.5 years working on his game until he faced an injury that left him with no other option but to make a career change into everything that he has going on today.
One of the biggest lessons he learned from the game of golf is to take ownership of who you’re, what you’re doing and where you’re trying to go. Through his podcast he hopes to provide value to the up & comers of the world and help them learn how to live a good life. His book From Here To There provides a framework to help those traveling down the path of mastery more efficiently and effectively. He also coaches, consults and creates for those in need of his service.
In this episode Thane discusses how clearing our headspace is crucial, although a lot of things are out of our control we can determine our preparation & our mindset, the importance of discipline of doing what you don’t want to do, why we’re always better with teammates and why we should never fear dead ends.

Yes there was a point in time I was nervous of what people might think of me but with time I became much more confident. In a recent podcast with Matt Komo he said, “confidence comes from repeated action” and I couldn’t agree more.
The hardest part is starting something. Once you do, it’s always a work in progress of you trying to get better at it.

5 paragraph essays are now allowed. Keep it short, simple & sweet.
Outline:
1st Paragraph: 2-3 sentence of who you’re / what you do.
2nd Paragraph: 3-4 sentences of why you’re e-mailing them & the ask of what you’re looking for.
3rd Paragraph: 1-2 sentences of your previous work / examples of what you’re offering/selling with links/attached files.
Closing Paragraph: 1 sentence of “Hope it’s of interest. If the timing isn’t right, I totally understand!” Give people an out!
Useful Tips:
- Address the e-mail: “Hi John,”
- Keep it clean, cut & professional. All fonts should be the same size.
- DO YOUR RESEARCH!!! Know everything about them.
- Make the E-mail click friendly. The person should not need to Google search you or what you do. Everything they need to know is listed in the e-mail.
- Hyperlink everything so that they can “click around” to see what you’re about.
- Give people an out! It’s a professional way for the person you’re e-mailing to say no. It will hopefully get you a response at the least.
- Sign off: “Best, *your name* ”

Comparing yourself to other people is a recipe for disaster. There is always going to be someone that's "ahead of you" with whatever you're trying to do but it should never steer you away.
If you ever find yourself in this low moment, flip the switch and bring up the positivity & energy!
