  • Is Lying EVER GOOD?!?

Is it ever okay to lie to someone?

This is the conversation we are having in today’s episode.

We are joined by my dad, who will, out of nowhere, bring attention to someone’s insecurity and lie to them that they look great.

In his defense, he says it’s not a lie but a way to uplift someone and make their day. Lying is when you intentionally try to deceive someone from the truth.

But is a little white lie here and there to uplift someone and make them feel good acceptable? Where do we draw the line, then?

This is the debate we are having in this episode, and as you’ll be hearing, we can’t seem to agree.

So, we want your help…. tune in to the episode, and then let us know what you think in the comments or on our socials!

    Key Takeaways

    - Attending Kevin Hart and Elton John events (04:11)

    - The moral dilemma of uplifting someone through a lie (07:17)

In the end, everything will be fine if you don't allow yourself to fall into negative thought patterns that remove you from opportunities that may be ahead of you.

  • The #1 Thing That’s Making You MISERABLE - And How to Fix It TODAY!

This episode is about expectations that get you in trouble. Probably as much as 99% of the stuff you are angry about in life is your problem because you have wrong expectations.

There are some things we generally consider disappointing:

    - when people are unkind

    - when people take advantage of others (especially those who are less able)

    - when people tear down the success of others

    - when people think that they're owed something

    - when your kids or spouse make a bad choice that impacts your family

But today, we're talking about the disappointments we face due to a lack of sharing our expectations and communicating them.  Especially when it comes to relationships, partnerships, friendships…

Because just because you expected something or someone to be/behave in a certain way doesn't make it OK for you to be super disappointed if they are not.

So, do you have invisible expectations? Are your expectations too high?

We hope this episode will motivate you to check your expectations in any sphere of your life - yourself, your marriage, your job, your loved ones... Maybe it’s time to change some of the things you expect.

Or it’s time for some tough conversations and redefining relationships with some people. Or you should go look and explore other employment opportunities.

Also, if you’re taking things for granted (like expecting that no one you love will die or that you won’t catch a severe illness), maybe it’s time to slow down and be grateful.

It will also help you avoid falling into the trap of victimhood when some devastating and disappointing things happen.

There are so many reasons to tune in for this episode.

    Let’s dive in right now!

    Key Takeaways

    - Intro (00:00)

    - Where would Martin Luther King be without Caretta? (02:11)

    - What expectations do people have that make them upset? (08:03)

    - What are the most disappointing things in life - the case of Jeffrey Dahmer? (13:10)

    - Two types of disappointment (19:22)

    - Expectations that are out of your control (26:02)

    - How do you get to a place of acceptance that everyone is different? (33:00)

    - You can’t have this expectation from your parents (39:24)

    - Check your expectations (44:19)

  • Instagram vs. Reality - How Social Media Impacts Our Wellbeing

Whether we like it or not, social media are definitely shaping our reality in many ways. Whether we’re looking for information or entertainment, they are inevitable parts of our life.

And not only are they parts of our lives, but they also affect our behavior. Sometimes we want to get approvals online, sometimes we compare ourselves to other people, or we have to deal with attacks, or we do things to make people like us…

Don’t get us wrong - we don’t say it’s OK to be impolite or rude to anyone. We just want to point out the strong desire to be accepted that many people have - and losing yourself in the process.
