  • The Best and Worst Parts of Travel! 9 Crazy Moments You Won’t Believe {Part 3}

In the previous two episodes, we talked to you about everything that went wrong just trying to get to Italy. This episode is about our Italy experience and our itinerary.

Italy was a great experience for all of us. It's somewhere we would love to go back again. Our itinerary was planned by a travel designer, Brianna Glen (remember episode 105). She also planned our Greece trip and does an amazing job for us.

And that's our first tip for you. Having someone take care of your itinerary is always a good choice if you want a stress-free trip.

One thing about travel is about experiencing new cultures and learning new things. But often, we find ourselves looking for the comfort of familiarity even while traveling. You have to remind yourself that you are there to experience new things and be comfortable with unfamiliarity.

Listen in for more tips for those looking to travel to Italy and some cool places you can visit!

    Key Takeaways

    - Italy trip itinerary (01:42)

    - Being comfortable with unfamiliar things while traveling (06:22)

    - Why you make a beach reservation in Italy (10:03)

    - Visiting the Amalfi Coast (14:25)

  • {REPLAY} How I Built My Business With Absolutely Nothing

    Let's time travel!

In this episode, we are taking you back to 2009 - the year I decided to start my own business out of absolutely nothing.

But before we even get to that moment, Eddie and I will explain why we had to completely reinvent ourselves and let go of some of our biggest dreams. Yeah, you read that right - we had to walk away from some of our dreams.

Imagine that you're starting a life with your partner in a new home, with a new baby and a recently acquired mortgage, and both of you are going up the corporate ladder.

Sounds like quite a sweet life…

Now imagine that you both lose your jobs at the same time, you can no longer afford your mortgage, and there is no other option for you other than staying home taking care of the children because you can't afford childcare anymore.

But when the odds are against you, what options are left other than PUSHING through...and that's what we did.

When you are set up for success, your mind finds the most unconventional way to put you back on the rails.

Tune in to find out how I started a brand new business out of nowhere and enjoyed great success before moving on to other things.

    Key Points discussed:

  • Life Lessons For Relationships, Parenting, & Shoes! (Yes, SHOES)

In this episode, we talk about the different relationships you need to experience that prepares you for the relationship that will matter the most.

We also talk about how to prepare your children for relationships as they become young adults.

This episode was inspired by conversations we were having with our daughters around the topic of dating. They are at an age where they are getting into relationships and experiencing life.

As a parent, how much should you be influencing your children around things like dating? Do you let them figure it out on their own, or should you impart some lessons to them?

We think it’s important, especially when raising young women, to build a certain level of confidence and love within themselves so that no matter who they are dating, they have the self-esteem to know their expectations and what not to tolerate.

It’s also important to share your struggles and the mistakes of your earlier years with them so that they don’t make the same mistakes.

But you might be wondering what shoes got to do with all this….tune in to find out.

    Key Takeaways

    - What in the world – neon green car (03:07)

    - Who comes first; wife, daughter, mom (10:26)

    - What type of shoes are you? (15:02)

    - You have to experience life (21:39)

    - How to keep your relationship fresh (26:20)

    - Be daring enough to do something uncomfortable (28:38)
