2019 started out pretty poorly and ended very well indeed. I really am at a new beginning as I go into 2020 at the age of 48 with a plan, a purpose and, most importantly, happiness. It really is quite incredible - skint, but happy. I just have to stay focussed on growing my new business and remain positive. Happiness and positivity and, yes, love too – these things have all come into my life in a very big way this year and I plan on building on that.

I had my first gig of the year on 4 January and took my new-to-me Acus amp out to play. It worked fantastically well!

It's been around two weeks since I recorded so it was high time I got back on track and talked into the mic. I've been trying some social media management apps over the past two weeks.

Just had my diabetic checkup. I got my meds increased :(
I got over to the mainland to film some Crofters' content and it's given me some ideas for my own growth as well. Happiness is my goal. I'm already enjoying more of that than I've experienced for a long long time.
Here's the book that Nicola Wee of Almanac Marketing recommended to me:

I woke up with a headache and so the scheduling for the day was kinda shot. So, once the Ibuprofen kicked in, I got the dogs out and philosophized into the mic. I've got a lot going on in my head at the moment and getting it out onto hard drive is really helpful.

Driving home from High Corrie. Talking about my meeting on the mainland and forgetting my camera bag. Oops. I talk a lot here about how I dealt with it and how I view failure and challenges in general. In short, it turned out okay. Tune in for the details.

It's been a good day. It feels like I'm getting to the end of the transition phase into my new business and am entering the new head space of being 100% committed to it and ready to get stuck in.

Okay, so it's not the most catchy of titles, but to be honest I can't remember what I spoke about in this one as I'm going through a backlog and editing them without listening back. Just trying to catch up. It's probably about workflow, bookkeeping and time management.

In this episode I'm wondering where my guitar pupils have gone and how to address that. I'm also getting better with my video editing workflow.
