Walking the dogs with my mic on my hat as an experiment. I think it worked out pretty well! Lots for me ponder this week as I try and figure out my new life.

Walking the dogs in the rain the after we handed over the post office keys. It's like the beginning of a great adventure.

We have a very kindly neighbour and he was an incredible help as we were clearing out the post office. All he asked is that we pay it forward. What a guy.

Clearing out the Post Office is turning out to be a much bigger job than we anticipated.

The auditors came in today to close down the post office and make sure everything was in order. Thankfully it was, although we knew that anyway as I did run a tight ship and knew very well which rules I could break and how to break them ha ha. And once again, Regina Spektor lifted my mood. Works almost every time.

Recorded on the last trading day of my business, 28 October 2019.
I started at the post office on 30 January 2008 so served for just under 12 years. I look forward to the rose-tinted glasses of nostalgia when the pain of the forthcoming week and of 12 years' working with Post Office Ltd as my lords and masters subsides and I remember the good bits, mainly the many customers I've had the pleasure of serving and not the deterioration of my mental health as POL slowly drove me to despair.
Let the healing commence.

I nearly didn't post this one. It's a bit raw and came on a day when my future felt like it was in the balance and my mental state was at its lowest. I think talking it through helped my head a lot, as did my AA meeting on the following day. It's a little bit out of sequence in terms of chronology - it was recorded on 15 October, so a week before my birthday. I dunno, have a listen and see what you think. It did all work out in the end and I dealt with it all pretty well I think. Cool head in a crisis. Ha ha.

I was feeling pretty low in this episode and I explored that a little, after a catch up on what I'd been doing over the weekend.
