  • Long run progress may feel miserable in the short term
Making progress doesn’t necessarily mean you have to be happy every single day. Often, longer and progress feels miserable in the short term.
longer in progress doesn’t necessarily mean bliss, it means that you’re actually pursuing activities and the expectation of growth. Sometimes this growth does not happen and you have to be OK with the fact that it did not happen.
It is a complicated feeling to work towards long-term growth, and I don’t know what the right answers are . However, I do know that in the short term you don’t necessarily have to be happy.

  • Hard Work Leads To Competitive Advantage
After studying #strategy for many years, I have come to determine that strategy actually boils down to some really simple things.
most of us want to look for some complicated answer to what is strategy, and how do we become more effective
To me, one of the key ingredients to strategy is just simple hard work.
Doing some thing that somebody else does not want to do. Mucking around with things when nobody else wants to muck around with it.
When you do this hard work, you’re setting yourself out from others who don’t want to perform that task, and you also learn an awful lot in terms of efficiency and effectiveness of the particular task.
The only way that you can learn about efficiency and effectiveness of a task is just through simple repetition.
In other words, just do the hard

  • Find the right consumption to savings ratio for you
#Saving too much is just as bad as saving too little.
Always aim to save for the long term, but also remember to consume and have resources for pleasure in the short-term.
A healthy life is balancing the portfolio of #resources that you have to ensure that you have an optimal enjoyment throughout your entire life.
Smooth your resources throughout your entire life.

  • Happy New Year’s, 2023
My 2023 New Year’s Message To You.: Create your life by building it one step at a time, no matter how stupid it feels.
You simply get up and you step forward towards doing that particular thing. Nothing will ever feel like the way that you think it should feel or be as described in the movies.
It always feels silly rinky-dinky, but you do it anyways. The way that you actually create something is you don’t worry about what it actually looks like and how it actually feels but you create it, despite how you feel doing it.
It will always feel rinky-dinky and stupid until you actually create it yourself.
Once you create it, and you have built the thing that you love then you can look back and say I actually did that.

  • Be careful learning lessons from other people
Often we like to learn from other people, particularly those that are top #performers in the field. However, we often have to realize that their experiences are not representative of what you were going through.
You often don’t understand many different factors that lead to them becoming top performers.
We need to take a step back and understand that your experiences are often unique to ourselves.
If you were able to understand everybody’s abilities in endowments, you’d probably have a really good sense of how you’ve can #compare to others.
The problem is that we never have that information unless we often almost always have a poor #representation of the world and how we actually compare to others.
The lessons that you are likely to glean from top performers are often incorrect or at least not applicable.
Instead, a better way to approach the world is to figure out what makes you you, and make that better.
Be a better version of you, not somebody that you think is a top performer.

  • The Power of Courageous Leadership: Making Difficult Decisions and Facing Critics
When you take bold actions that make a difference in the world, it's natural for people to criticize and question your choices.
It's important to remember that not everyone will agree with you, and that's okay.
What's important is that you have the #courage to do what you believe is right, even if it means facing criticism and judgment from others.
Courage is not always easy, but it requires you to stay true to your values and who you are as a person.
Don't let the opinions of others hold you back from being the best version of yourself and making a positive impact.
    You be YOU.

  • Uncovering the Reasons Why People Limit Their Potential
One thing that can be frustrating is seeing people not living up to their full potential. It can be hard to watch someone with so much potential not pursue their dreams or reach their goals. In this podcast, I explore some of the common reasons why people limit their own potential and offer practical tips and strategies for overcoming those limitations. Whether you're struggling with self-doubt, fear of failure, or something else, we'll give you the tools and motivation you need to reach your full potential and live the life you want.
Another thing that can be disheartening is realizing that many people are content to stay where they are, rather than striving to reach their full potential. It's understandable to have moments of self-doubt or fear of failure, but it's important not to let those feelings hold us back.

  • You can’t teach people that don’t want to learn.
As #business #professor, despite having my own personal motivation, and all of the knowledge in the world, I come to the conclusion that you can’t teach people that do not want to learn.
The only thing that you could do is come to terms with you sharing your insights, and then perhaps one day the information will sink in if others choose to learn.
It’s a hard lesson for me to learn, as I tend to view myself as very conscientious.
I have to relearn every semester.
However, if people are unwilling to learn themselves, there’s nothing you can do about it. You have to take a step back and simply say you’re doing your best.
It’s up to others to actually want to learn if they choose to. When they choose to learn, things change.
You no longer have to motivate, teach, or incentivize, but simply explore together.

  • negativity is never about you
If you’re trying to be a good person, and you’re working towards helping other people, if you experience #negativity from others, it’s not about you.
    It never is.
One of the more challenging things that I have had to deal with, by being in the public domain is realizing that many people are #anxious, and quick to get angry.
I’ve learned that even if you try to be kind and generous that people will get upset with you.
Social platforms promote negativity because they get clicks and views.
Reflect on the people that we should all admire most, people like Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa and the like, were all #persecuted and rejected.
Even if these people that were very much doing good in this world were persecuted, but imagine us simple folks doing simpler things. You should expect negativity.
Us humans have never been good at dealing with our own emotions. we are better than we used to be, but we still have a lot of fear and anxiety to process.
Negativity is often never about you.

    It’s a long-term play.
