It was good to catch up with Racer men's basketball hall of famer Cameron Payne. A veteran of eight seasons in the NBA, Payne had his Murray State jersey No. 1 retired last season. His accomplishments on the court from 2013-15 saw him become OVC Player of the Year and an All-American as the Racers won 25-straight games in his final season.

We had a blast at Hoopalooza when the 2023 program spotlighted the Coach SCott Edgar era (1991-95). We also honored retiring Voice of the Racers, Neal Bradley and inducted Jonathan Stark into the Hall of Fame.

The time is almost here for the Racers to take to the football field and play the 2023 season, the 99th in program history and 51st at Roy Stewart Stadium. Coach Dean Hood takes the Racers into their first season in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. The MVFC held media day activities this week and Hood provided an update as the team begins fall camp.
