It has been nearly one week since Bashar al-Assad was overthrown and the Syrian people were left to the mercy of Al-Qaeda in Syria. While the U.S. is supposed to have Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) classified as a terrorist organization, Sec. of State Antony Blinken admitted that the Biden Admin was in direct communication with the group.

Independent Journalist Vanessa Beeley, who was based in Damascus up until last week, discussed her evacuation from Syria, and what the end of the Assad Government means for the Syrian people and the future of foreign interference in the country.

Russia is warning it will retaliate after the latest ATACMS-fueled attack carried out by Washington and Kiev on Russian territory. This, as Russian forces advance right up to Pokrovsk, and the West shows that it has more of a focus on trying to hurt Russia at home, than on attempted gains on the battlefield.

Even President-Elect Trump is noting that the latest U.S. attacks on Russia are “a big mistake” that it is just “escalating this war and making it worse.”

International Relations and Security Analyst Mark Sleboda noted that while Russia is making significant gains on the battlefield, the recent overthrow of Bashar al-Assad in Syria came as the result of a perfect storm, and was a significant loss for Russia and its position in the Middle East.

The Biden Admin is continuing its march toward WW3 against Russia by transferring $20 Billion for its share of the G7's planned $50 Billion loan for Kiev, which is backed by the stolen proceeds from $300 Billion worth of frozen Russian assets.

Meanwhile, Russian forces are advancing in the Donbass, with reports saying they are within 3 km of Kiev's key strategic hub of Pokrovsk. This, as Zelensky claims that only 43,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in nearly 3 years of war, and the Biden Admin tries to convince Kiev to forcefully conscript 18-year-olds (and they expect us to believe there’s no manpower shortage).

Three days after Bashar al-Assad was overthrown, Israel is doing whatever it wants in Syria, including openly stealing more land, destroying Syria’s air defense capabilities, and launching hundreds of strikes. Its ongoing assault has also included reports that Israeli tanks were within 25 kilometers of Damascus.

Despite Israel’s blatant and repeated violations of international law in Syria, the international community has done… absolutely nothing to stop them. While Saudi Arabia and Qatar have released statements condemning Israel, they have yet to take action (and it’s not expected).

Meanwhile, the U.S. and Turkey are openly joining in on the assault on Syria with strikes of their own, claiming they’re “protecting their interests” in the region. Clearly, those interests are NOT the Syrian people.

Bashar al-Assad is no longer the president of Syria after a shocking coup that has left the world wondering: What deal was made behind closed doors? As we wait for answers, Rebranded Al-Qaeda (HTS) has pledged to create a transitional government, and Israel is already ramping up strikes against the Syrian military and expanding its occupation of Syrian territory.

Kevork Almassian, Host of Syriana Analysis, noted that the end of the Syrian Government likely means the end of the "Axis of Resistance," as the new government that takes shape is expected to have the interests of the U.S., Israel and Turkey directly involved, which means cutting off the supply lines to Hezbollah and other groups that support the Palestinian resistance.

The Syrian army has announced its withdrawal from the city of Hama, following heavy fighting with Hayat Tahrir-al-Sham (HTS), the rebranded version of Al-Qaeda. As the group looks at how to govern its latest gains, which include Syria’s second-largest city of Aleppo, it is presenting itself as “diversity-friendly,” despite its clear Islamist extremist beliefs.

Patrick Henningsen, a journalist and geopolitical analyst, noted that HTS leader Abu Mohammad al-Jolani is no friend of “diversity,” and he studied under former Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. While Jolani has a $10 million U.S. bounty on his head, he’s currently being used as a tool of the U.S., Israel and Turkey, in an attempt to set up a rival government to challenge Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Russia and Iran.

Violence is soaring in Syria once again, as groups of extremists that include the rebranded version of Al-Qaeda take Aleppo, and the Syrian Government responds, with support from Russia and Iran. The U.S. is also getting involved, with claims that it’s targeting “Iranian-backed militias,” as the Biden Admin ignores the fact that they’re providing cover for Al-Qaeda by attacked the forces that are targeting its offensive in Syria.

International Relations and Security Analyst Mark Sleboda noted that while Russia and Turkey were able to negotiate at deal back in 2020, the war in Syria was never settled. And because it became a “frozen conflict” that allowed Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham to remain active in Idlib (along with various other jihadist groups), it was likely to unfreeze at some point.

Now, the U.S., Ukraine and Turkey are providing support to the same violent extremists that Russia and Iran are trying to help Syria eliminate… and the proxy war in Syria ignites again.

While Biden is busy issuing a decade-long pardon for his son Hunter, members of his administration are finally responding to the ongoing attacks by extremist groups in Syria, with National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan saying, “We don’t cry over the fact that the Assad Government backed by Russia, Iran and Hezbollah, are facing certain kinds of pressure.”

A reminder that even though the U.S. has classified Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the rebranded version of Al-Qaeda, as a terrorist organization, the Biden Admin has no problem with the group attacking the Syrian people, because they still can’t get over the fact that the U.S. Establishment failed to remove Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from power a decade ago.

Sullivan also said the Biden Admin wasn’t surprised by the attacks in Syria, because Assad’s allies such as Russia, Iran and Hezbollah have all been “distracted” by other conflicts. Notably, all of those “other” conflicts are ones in which the U.S. plays a key role.
