Zelensky is fuming and lamenting that there is “no confidentiality” between Kiev and Washington, after the New York Times reported that his so-called “Victory Plan” aka NATO wish list, included the demand for Tomahawk missiles from the U.S.

International Relations and Security Analyst Mark Sleboda noted that Tomahawk cruise missiles have a range that far exceeds the other U.S.-made weapons supplied to Kiev, and would be seen by Moscow as a major escalation. He also explained the logistics that would be needed in order for Zelensky’s “North Korean troops fighting alongside Russian forces” story to be plausible…

After previously saying he couldn’t confirm Zelensky’s claims that North Korean troops were fighting alongside Russia forces, NATO’s new chief Mark Rutte suddenly changed his tune and is now claiming that around 10,000 North Korean troops are training in Russia and will likely fight against Kiev’s forces within “the next several weeks.”

While the Pentagon echoed the same sentiment, both Moscow and Pyongyang have denied the claim that North Korean troops are fighting alongside Russian forces against Kiev’s incursion in Russia’s Kursk region, or plan to do so in the near future.

When asked about whether North Korean troops were being trained in Russia, under a new security treaty between the two countries, Russian President Putin said, “This is our sovereign decision. Whether we use it or not, where, how, or whether we engage in exercises, training, or transfer some experience. It’s our business.”

Netanyahu is claiming that Israel achieved “all its objectives” with its strikes against what it described as military targets in Iran on Friday that killed four Iranian Army personnel and one civilian.

Israel claimed the attack was “retaliation,” as if Iran's ballistic missile attack on Oct. 1 was a standalone event. It wasn't. Iran noted that it was retaliating for multiple targeted assassinations carried out by Israel (with locations that include Tehran), and other massacres of civilians from Gaza to Lebanon.

Now, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is vowing “an appropriate response,” and saying, “We are not seeking war, but we will defend the rights of our nation and our country.”

Investigative Journalist Asa Winstanley said he was woken up before 6am by nearly a dozen police officers from the UK's "Counter Terrorism Command" last week, who raided his home and seized the electronic devices he uses for his work.

Winstanley, who also works as an associate editor for the Electronic Intifada, noted that while he was not arrested and has not yet been charged with an offense, he was given a letter that said police were "aware" of his profession, and were investigating whether he was guilty of "encouragement of terrorism" under the UK's Terrorism Act (2006).

As for what he allegedly did to "encourage" terrorism, Winstanley said that during the raid, one of the officers told him that it was in relation to his "social media posts."

U.S. Sec. of State Antony Blinken is in Israel, meeting with Netanyahu for talks that the Israeli PM’s office described as focusing on “uniting against” Iran. This, as the U.S. says it is investigating after top secret highly classified documents from the U.S. Intelligence Community that detailed Israel’s plans to attack Iran, were leaked on Telegram.

John Kiriakou, an Author, Journalist, and former CIA Officer and Whistleblower, noted that this leak is extremely significant, as the documents also acknowledged that Israel has nuclear weapons—an “open secret” that the U.S. and Israel have never publicly acknowledged, even after an Israeli whistleblower was sentenced to years in prison for revealing Israel’s nuclear program.

All eyes are on the 16th annual BRICS Summit, as it kicks off in Russia this week, with representatives from more than 30 countries, including more than 20 heads of state, set to attend. With dozens of countries interested in joining the group, the stakes are high amid plans that include an alternative to the SWIFT banking system.

International Relations and Security Analyst Mark Sleboda noted that while BRICS has big dreams, and its plans to reduce reliance on the West will be championed by members who have been targeted by Western sanctions in recent years… those plans could also present a problem for the newer members who still rely heavily on the U.S., such as Egypt with billions of Dollars in military aid, and the UAE, which hosts thousands of American troops.

The U.S. Intelligence Community is scrambling to investigate, after highly classified documents were leaked on Telegram, detailing Israel’s preparations for an attack against Iran that is expected in the coming weeks. The docs appear to have been prepared for Washington’s ‘Five Eyes’ allies to let them know about the coming attack—as Iran is already threatening a response.

But the most notable part of the files is the U.S. Intelligence Community’s acknowledgement that Israel has nuclear weapons. While this has been an “open secret” for decades, it doesn’t change the fact that the U.S. is violating its own laws by sending billions of Dollars in military aid, when Israel has never signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. But no one in the U.S. Gov’t will publicly admit that.

The Chinese Military held a series of drills around the island of Taiwan this week, noting that they were meant to serve as a “stern deterrence to the separatist acts of Taiwan independence forces.” The exercises notably came days after Taiwan’s new president gave a speech, in which he vowed to “uphold the commitment to resist annexation,” and said his mission was to “stand side by side with democratic countries.” 

Geopolitical Analyst KJ Noh noted that the speech from Taiwan’s president sounds like it was written in Washington, and it’s yet another reminder that while the U.S. claims to support the ‘One China Policy’ (which states that Taiwan is a part of China), that hasn’t stopped Washington from gearing up for war with Beijing, using its proxies in Taiwan.
