Hello friends and welcome to season 2 of 'Rachel Profiling'. Even though this is a fun, cute, quirky title, today we are talking about more serious topics such as being objectified, catcalled, and the rise (but let's be honest it's always been there) in hate crimes against the AAPI community. I am coming to you recording this right after an event in an emotional place because we have all had instances as such sadly and I value transparency and openness with you all. Though it is important to remember emotions and being emotional never invalidates the hurdles we go through and our lived experience. Sending all love.

It's Rachel Profiling's ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! So we're taking it back with the VERY FIRST podcast guest Mr. Creston Herron! First podcast ep was more of an interview but today we're just sitting down for a fun conversation with the king himself gossiping and reminiscing on memories to sharing wisdom, sharing some secrets on my end and asking questions you've always wanted to know from your teachers.
Thank you listeners for truly being the highlight of my year! Rachel Profiling is my passion project and I couldn't be more grateful for your listening ears and support of me just jibber jabbering on.

Kelly is an incredible artist but even more incredible friend. We talk about everything from our favorite foods back home, our origin stories and what we've learned and how we've grown throughout quarantine.
Be sure to show Kelly some love! You can find her music under 'Kelly Tia' on all platforms! (my favorite songs 'whew!')

TW: mental illness & suicide
Sitting down with my good friend Magmar (Maggie Martin) to have an important conversation about mental health and the conditions of mental hospitals. I am so grateful for Maggie being so candid about her experiences in the mental hospitals she's stayed at and her experience with mental illness. But this episode is much more than just unveiling the stigmas against mental health! We get to know Maggie for her talents and aspirations as a woman in the industry, making beats, and so much more.
You can find Maggie on the gram @notmaggiemartin & all of her music under Magmar!

Today we share a conversation with CEO + Founder of SELFMADE, Stephanie Lee! I am so excited for y'all to hear this conversation as we discuss everything from growing up Asian American in the South to how Stephanie went from a career in politics working for Michelle Obama, to pushing the narrative and creating a beauty and mental health brand all about radical self love. Stephanie is an unapologetically badass Asian woman sharing the importance of representation and being true to yourself all the way. Thank you again to Stephanie and the SELFMADE team for sharing this conversation with me! Be sure to check out SELFMADE and their CommonRoom, 21 days of secure attachment as well as their first product, Secure Attachment, a comfort serum that helps destress, prime, and protect (an absolute HIT product I live by).
