The Way with Anoa

Racism, "Political Divisiveness" and More!

Listen Later

On this edition of The Way with Anoa, Anoa is joined by Jacqueline Luqman in a discussion about race, progressive spaces, and moving beyond our personal discomfort to fight injustice. This is an excellent dialogue about the reflecting on our lived experiences and history and how this informs the work we have to do moving forward. Even in issue based advocacy we cannot disregard the systemic issues deeply ingrained in American society pertaining to imperialism and racism and how they are intertwined with our economic system. Finally, the ladies challenge those who consider themselves white allies to lead in matters of discomfort to address the emotional burden some conversations can cause. Powerful dialogue and one you won't want to miss!
