Practical Radiation Oncology executive editor Jeff Michalski, MD, hosts a conversation on the recently published ASTRO clinical practice guideline on radiation therapy for soft tissue sarcoma. Two of the authors of the guideline, Ashleigh Guadagnolo, MD, MPH of MD Anderson Cancer Center and Kilian Salerno, MD, of the National Cancer Institute, discuss the development process of the guideline and the evidence for the recommendations included. Matthew Spraker, MD, PhD of Washington University in St. Louis leads the discussion, asking the authors of the guideline about the use of bolus, pre-operative vs. post-operative radiation therapy, and the importance of multi-disciplinary collaborative decision making.
