Depression is something that's, thankfully, gotten much attention in the past few years. Support and conversation is initiated and help is provided (and encouraged) for those suffering from it.
But what doesn't seem to get talked about too much is depression when it comes on with pregnancy.
Guest Stacy Rudman experienced postpartum depression after her second child which was puzzling and quiet the struggle since her first pregnancy was everything but.
In this episode, you'll hear: • what the first thing was that made Stacy notice something was "off" • her feelings toward her second child (same or different from her first) • the difference between being your fittest and being your healthiest • the backlash she got (from herself) for having medication prescribed and taking it • protein pancakes!
Listen to the full episode. Share your experience with postpartum with me and be sure to tag Stacy.
For the most part, a childhood dream stays in childhood but what doesn't get much attention is how a part of that dream stays with you for life.
That gnawing of "what if" had you "gone for it" can get really loud and, sometimes, depressive if you think about it - especially when you're not fulfilled in your current job/profession.
In today's episode, I share with you what I did to get it "out of my system" and how I feel now, years later.
Did this resonate with you? Share your take-away with me on Instagram, Facebook, or via email.
Ever struggled with diets, binging, getting to your "ideal" body weight, and self-sabotage with food? Please listen to today's episode.
Jennifer from Luminous Wellness with Jennifer has been there and, because of having experienced it first-hand, she shares a different (more flexible) approach in working through it.
In this episode, you'll learn: • about the question to ask yourself to know if the choice you're making is self-sabotaging • the importance of re-shifting the purpose of your choices • the body positive movement teaching that Jennifer disagrees with • PCOS and what's worked for her • the one thing you can focus on to get yourself to exercise when you're just not feeling motivated
When you finish listening to the episode, be sure to show her some love on Instagram @luminouswellnesswithjennifer and send me a message to share your key take-away.
If you've wanted to invite a little more mindfulness into your day-to-day, listen to this week's Mindset Realign episode.
I go over what the term "Mindfulness" means, how you're probably already applying it into your life, and a few simple ways you can invite it even more into your activities.
Have a listen and let's spark up a conversation by sharing your favourite take-away with me via DM on Instagram.
When making positive changes in your life, do you usually choose the option that's more familiar with less risk or one that could potentially make you unpopular among your support system?
Megan, thankfully, chose the latter without becoming unpopular with her friends and family but the choice of doing it anyway should that have been the case is what drew me to her.
Having a glass of wine or going out for "drinks" is something so widely popular that we don't really think much about it yet it does affect not only our health but our relationships - especially when going about it too often.
Don't get me wrong, I personally enjoy my glass of rosé or a brunch mimosa but Megan knew she had taken it a bit too far.
In this episode, you'll hear: • how she was considered a party girl and the one comment that made her think twice about her options • the first improvements she noticed after giving up alcohol • why she's chosen to document her journey publicly • what she chooses to do instead of pouring herself a glass of wine after a long day • how fitness and her time at the gym keeps her momentum going

In this episode, I share a personal journal entry I wrote after my morning meditation. The reason behind sharing this with you is because I've found most of us are constantly predicting or "manifesting" - a term so wildly used but somewhat misunderstood. It's not about living for the future.
You'll also find a meditation practice you can use right away. If you're wanting to start this practice but find yourself frustrated with all your thoughts, give this one a try.
I hope you find this episode useful. And remember, you can always catch this episode on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, and Stitcher Radio.

I think this episode could really resonate with many of you. Mainly because there's a certain pressure to "always" be positive and happy to really make a change in your life, but you may be wanting something a little different right now.
Though I may agree, up to a certain extend with maintaining positivity, being the complete opposite can have an impact you won't want to brush off.
Have a listen to this short episode. There is an affirmation for you to practice and use, but Only when your ready for it.
This solo episode is one where we go into assumptions and where they form. You'll hear about my experience with bringing my past hurts into a present moment and losing some precious time with a loved one because of it.
