Writing songs usually starts off as an obsessive hobby. Maybe you always come up with weird and wonderful melodies on the bus. Perhaps you've been penning lyrics since you could write. Poems, beauty and inspiration are all around you...
Then you sit down to write a song and BOOM, something feels stuck. Nothing feels quite right, in fact, it's all became far too SERIOUS!
I feel you my friend. You know, the number one thing that gets in the way of our passions?
Us.
It's us.
We get in the way, but hey, this is GOOD news! We are the only ones who can change our own behaviour, mindset and approach. So, let's start taking our work more seriously by not taking ourselves so seriously in the first place.
