The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse, OUTA, has described the resignation of South African Airway's audit and risk committee chair, Yakhe Kwinana, as an insincere and selfish move. She was one of only three remaining non-executive directors. She had been a member of the SAA board since 2009. Announcing her resignation on Monday, she said her reputation was at stake. Transport Minister, Dipuo Peters, has been criticised after a letter was sent to the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa's board chairman, Popo Molefe, requesting an end to an investigation into irregular tenders at the parastatal. The investigation into PRASA followed several irregularities identified by the Auditor General and the Public Protector.
