Two people have been confirmed dead and dozens of others arrested in Mamelodi, east of Pretoria, following a spate of lootings over the past 24 hours. Two alleged looters were killed in Mamelodi. On Sunday, an ANC member was shot and killed at the Pretoria Events Centre after it was announced that Thoko Didiza had been endorsed as the ANC's preferred mayoral candidate for the capital city.
