Vaal University of Technology management has admitted that allegations of theft made by students against campus security guards are true. This follows this violent clashes between students and the guards at the university's main campus in Vanderbijl Park, south of Johannesburg. Some students were injured. The students are demanding improved security within campus following burglary incidents. They also want the security company in charge to be removed. Classes have been suspended.
