The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is planning to roll out a new student funding model to all Universities next year. Spokesperson for the scheme Kagisho Mmamabolo says the new system will be able to prefund and students won't have to apply for funding every year.

Convicted murderer Oscar Pistorius, will appear in the Pretoria High Court today. It is expected that the matter will be postponed until June this year when the sentencing proceedings will begin. It will be the first time Pistorius is seen in public since the Constitutional Court refused to hear his appeal against his murder conviction. Transnet has disputed Botswana media reports in that it has sold second-hand passenger trains to the Botswana Railways.
