About 25 Kenyan political activists were arrested in Nairobi as they attempted to reach State House in Nairobi, President Uhuru Kenyatta's official residence, to hand over a petition demanding an end to corruption in the country. Earlier, the activists held streets protests in the city demanding that President Kenyatta acts and fires those involved in corruption. They also want the Kenyan government to recover all stolen assets. Sarah Kimani reports.

Zimbabwe and China have signed a series of new bilateral co-operation agreements during the ongoing state visit by Chinese president Xi JinPing. President JinPing arrived in Zimbabwe is on a two day he is accompanied by a large delegation of Chinese investors and business people. Zimbabwe and China have historic ties dating back to the Zimbabwe's liberation struggle, ties that have been strengthened since 2000 when the West isolated Zimbabwe over human rights abuses. The Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe has called on the media to use media cooperation between China and Africa to tell good stories about the continent. Radebe was addressing the China-Africa Media Summit at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Lulama Matya reports

A 36-year old high ranking Tokologo Local Municipality official in the Free State is to appear in the Winburg Magistrate Court for allegedly murdering and burning the body of his 26 year old wife. The charred remains of his wife were found at a dumping site in the area. Thabiso Radebe reports.

The most important climate conference ever, has kicked off in Paris. COP21, the 21st Conference of the Parties, entered its first full session yeterday with nearly 150 heads of state in attendance. The overarching goal of COP 21 is to create a global framework for countries to reduce their carbon emissions, so that the average global temperature does not increase by more than 2°C. The UN's climate agency says an increase greater than that will be catastrophic for the world's life support systems. Oceans will warm and storms will become more frequent and damaging. Televangelist and Senior Pastor of Nigerian church, TB Joshua, has been summoned by the Lagos High Court to answer to charges over the collapse of his six story church building in September 2014.
