A new controversial painting by Artist, Ayanda Mabulu has set tongues wagging. In it, Mabulu depicts President Jacob Zuma and a young woman in a fallacious position. Its further shows the woman in another sexual position at the same time with a man dressed in old colonial garb. For the artist, the work defines our current political situation. It's a metaphor for his opinion that the country is being milked dry by the ANC. To analyse this Sakina Kamwendo spoke to Art Critic and Masters Student at Wits University, Athi Joja.

SABMiller - the global beer giant founded in South Africa - has accepted "in principle" a new takeover bid from rival brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev. SABMiller had rejected previous offers, claiming that they "very substantially" undervalued the company. Our UK correspondent Dan Whitehead reports

The International Criminal Court (ICC) says South Africa will still be held accountable for not handing over Sudanese president Omar Al-Bashir - even if it decides to remove its signature from the court. The KwaZulu-Natal Standing Committee on Public Accounts has criticised the provincial Department of Education for not doing enough to recover salaries that have been paid to educators who faked their qualifications. Provincial Education Head of Department - Dr Nkosinathi Sishi - says more educators are being arrested in various schools for fraudulent qualifications on a monthly basis. Sishi and a team of senior officials from his department appeared before SCOPA over its 2014/2015 audit report. Sishi says the teacher shortage problem has led to the attraction of unqualified educators - many of whom are foreign nationals. Zanele Buthelezi reports

A deceased Northern Cape politician has come in for scathing attack in a high-profile fraud trial in the Kimberley High Court. Yolanda Botha, who died in December last year, was accused in the fraud and corruption trial involving Northern Cape ANC Chairperson John Block. Northern Cape Judge Mmathebe Phatsoane is expected to start delivering her judgement today in the case involving Northern Cape ANC chairperson John Block, deputy secretary Alvin Botes and Trifecta director Christo Scholtz. The judgement was originally set to be delivered in Junebut was postponed because Judge Phatsoane was not ready. Block, Botes and Scholtz are accused of fraud, corruption and money laundering relating to multi-million rand government lease tenders. They have all pleaded not guilty to the charges.
