Police say an ongoing investigation into mall robberies has revealed that there are several groups involved. The police say they have already linked four people previously arrested in separate incidents to eight other cases. Most recently, on Friday, seven people were arrested in connection with two separate incidents whereby a Telkom store at Irene Mall was robbed, and a shoot-out took place between robbers and police at Centurion Mall. Gauteng and the Western Cape have been hardest hit by a succession of armed robberies taking place at malls over the last few months. Reeva Steenkamp's father, Barry, has said they are glad they only have to wait until tomorrow, to find out what will happen to their daughter's killer. Judge Thokozile Masipa will sentence the former international icon, Oscar Pistorius, found guilty of culpable homicide after shooting four bullets through a locked toilet door and killing Steenkamp. He was also convicted for the reckless and negligent firing of a firearm in a public place. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to Marius du Toit of du toit attorney's.

The Shrien Dewani murder trial resumed in the Western Cape High Court this morning. The British businessman is on trial for the murder of his wife Anni Dewani in November 2010. The trial resumes shortly after the death of the hitman, Xolile Mngeni. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to justice department spokesman Advocate Mthunzi Mhaga about Xolile Mngeni's death
