The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC)'s Interim Board is the process of reviewing its 2004 Editorial Policy. This follows a change in Policy which was implemented in 2016 by the former COO of the corporation Hlaudi Motsoeneng, which was later rejected by the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA).

SACP General Secretary, Blade Nzimande, has warned that the ANC could be facing defeat in the 2019 national elections if strong action isn't taken against corruption and state capture. Nzimande yesterday addressed delegates at the start of the week-long SACP Congress currently underway in Boksburg on Gauteng's East Rand. The SACP leadership announced that it had barred President Jacob Zuma from addressing the congress. Instead Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa will address them on Wednesday.
