South Africans have welcomed the Constitutional Court's ruling on Friday, to extend the contract of Cash Paymaster Services for the next 12 months. This will ensure that beneficiaries will receive their grants on the 1st of April. The Court ruled that the contract be extended under the same terms and conditions, and with strict supervision. Calls have now been made for a process to be immediately initiated to ensure that stakeholders fully comply with the directives of the Constitutional Court, and the prescripts of the law. The African National Congress has also called on government to investigate thoroughly and act decisively, against those responsible for what the party calls an 'embarrassing and undesirable situation.
