Howdy Gore-fam!

We're taking a trip back to 1976 to cover an absolute classic this week. Richard Donner's The Omen gets the Gorepress treatment in this deep dive!

Enjoy,

Welcome back, Gore-fam!

This week we're giving our tired brains a break and delving into some 80's silliness with Ruggero Deodato's Body Count. A first time watch for both of us, we had an absolute blast picking this one apart, piece by piece.

Welcome to another week, Gore-fam!

This time around, we deviate from horror and explore some sci-fi in the form of 2001's Donnie Darko. Spoiler alert; we love this flick so expect lots of enthusiastic waffle, some not-entirely-sound time travel theories and collective frustrating at director Richard Kelly.

Until next time,

-Sarah & Phil.

Gore-fam! Rejoice!

It's finally time for us to let Phil have his way, and so with that in mind, we've decided to cover Kim Jee-Woon's A Tale Of Two Sisters. We delve deep into this convoluted meditation on trauma and grief (fun!) and attempt to articulate exactly why we think it's a masterpiece of family-folk-horror-drama. Phew!

Greetings, dear Gorefam!

This week we have a very special guest; the artist formerly known as Dangerous Jamie. For those of you that might not know, Gorepress started as a horror review website almost 12 years ago and Jamie was not only a co-founder but was host of the first Gorepress podcast. We're stoked to have him join us to chat all things Kevin Smith in our breakdown of 2014's weird-fest Tusk. We touch on the potential of dressing as a walrus for free rent, our rapidly waning love of Smith and.....semen. Lots of semen.

Enjoy!

-Phil, Sarah & Jamie.

Hey, Gore-fam!

Join us on our new upload day of Monday, as we take a trip to Glasgow and get under the skin of Under The Skin; Jonathan Glazer's 2013 mind-bender, starring Scarlett Johansson. You can expect some film theory, some socio-political commentary and some terrible puns. All the good stuff you've come to expect and more. Plus booze.

Enjoy,

-Rosie, Sarah & Phil.

Let's get squelchy, corpse-lovers!

It's time for a descent into some controversial German madness with 1987's Nekromantik. We chat dungeon-synth, urine foley, pseudo-intellectual drivel and whether or not liking films like this makes you terrible. Hop on the Gore-train for a dose of the typical bad taste puns, wine fuelled revelry and intense movie chat that you've come to know and....tolerate.

We love you (but not in a gross way),

-Sarah, Rosie & Phil.

Hey Gore-fam!

It's a rare day when our intrepid hosts don't agree on a movie, yet here we are. Join us as we delve into the ever expanding Conjuring cinematic universe and review the film that started it all...

Are you a sceptic or a true believer?

Gore-fam-a-lam!

We're back to give you a deep dive into 2019's religious horror Saint Maud. After chatting about this one in a minisode, we realised we had A LOT more to say about it. so strap in for a solid 90 minutes of bad jokes, a critique of religion and some talk about unreliable narrators.

Enjoy!

Hey Gore-fam! (Gorgo-fam?)

This week we're getting stuck into some kaiju nonsense, going off on many a tangent and taking some time to discuss special effects of the 1960's. We'd love it if you joined us for the ride!
