35: A Tribute to Pam Champine, General Brown's Disgraceful Firing & JD "Piglet" Vance

Welcome to episode thirty-five of David & Stu… Unhinged! As always, we'd like to thank Clara Wang for creating the fantastic artwork for this podcast. In this episode, David and Stu cover the following:

1) On March 8, 2009, Pamela R. Champine, David's wife, passed away from breast cancer after over a six-year battle. On the 16th anniversary of her death, David discusses her legacy and the courage and determination she demonstrated throughout her life;

2) A discussion of Trump's disgraceful firing of General Charles Brown and how he tarnished a distinguished career that included 30 years of service to our country.

3) Our craven Vice President's latest antics, including trashing British and French troops who fought and died in Afghanistan and Iraq in his effort to curry favor with Trump even though earlier he referred to him as "America's Hitler." JD not only looks like a piglet, his latest lap dog like behavior indicates how wholly unqualified he is to be in higher office.

024: Scott Boyett On Shooting Shooting

Military historian and weapons and armor expert Scott Boyett joins Film Fights with Friends for a comparative analysis of three films, depicting different time periods, from historic, tactical, technical, and theatrical perspectives. On the dissecting table are LAST OF THE MOHICANS (1992), WAY OF THE GUN (2000), and MOSUL (2019).

Scott is a consultant for the film, television, and gaming industries. He grew up in a family of antique arms and armor dealers and mentored under one of the world’s premier military historians, Dennis Showalter. Scott holds a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree, the latter from Norwich University, specializing in both European and Japanese medieval weaponry. His career began in England as an antique arms buyer, and he has since lectured on historical and theatrical combat at Dartmouth, Loyola Marymount University, CalArts, University of Georgia, and DeSales University, among others. After traveling for several years teaching and performing on Broadway, the National Shakespeare Company and Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festivals, Scott moved to California, where he continued acting, teaching and consulting on various productions. He holds a current California Entertainment Firearms Permit. Some of his credits include 50 YEARS ON THE DMZ and BIBLE BATTLES for The History Channel, INDIAN COWBOY and the BBC America drama COPPER. He was a weapons adviser for the popular video game RED DEAD REDEMPTION. Scott has worked with such notable talents as Tim Roth, Ron Perlman, Placido Domingo, Mercedes Ruhel, Anthony LaPaglia, Benny “The Jet” Urquidez and Richard Lawson.

Outside of his weapons expertise, Scott has a Shodan in Budo Taijutsu and throughout his career has trained Lama-Pai Kung Fu, Okinawan Go-Ju Ryu, American Freestyle Karate and Brazilian Capoeira.

34: Stu's Appreciation of Nature and Youthful Exuberance v. Trump's Team of Idiots, including One Savant

Welcome to episode thirty-four of David & Stu… Unhinged! As always, we'd like to thank Clara Wang for creating the fantastic artwork for this podcast. In this episode, David and Stu cover the following:

1) Stu recounts his time on the golf course in Florida, where he observed different species of birds that he found fascinating, in an attempt to add some hopefulness to the dark times we are experiencing.

2) A discussion of Pete Hegseth's disastrous trip overseas, where he gave away key negotiation points to Putin about Ukraine before the negotiations even started, and Trump's doubling down on Hegseth's mess, along with a litany of fabrications about the conflict;

3) Elon Musk's bizarre drug-fueled rampage at a conservative conference, wielding a chainsaw, and his even stranger performance in the Oval Office with his four-year-old son, who picked his nose publicly, and how, despite his intellectual gifts, he is nothing but an idiot savant who is not qualified to reorganize the federal government; and

4) Stu's encounter with three young people starting their careers and his appreciation of their youthful exuberance, while David speculates that their hopes and dreams will be shattered as time passes, just like everyone else's.

33: Penny's from Heaven, the Gaza Riviera and other MAGA Nonsense & Musk's Team of Neophytes

Welcome to episode thirty-three of David & Stu… Unhinged! As always, we'd like to thank Clara Wang for creating the fantastic artwork for this podcast. In this episode, David and Stu cover the following:

1) The good news is that Daniel Penny, a hero who saved subway riders from violence and who was unfairly prosecuted by Manhattan DA Bragg, found a job and the start of a career;

2) Trump's preposterous proposal to turn Gaza into a US-operated resort called the Gaza Riviera and how his supporters seem to think every absurd pronouncement he makes is an act of genius, including his imperialist impulses to rename things like the Gulf of Mexico; and

3) How Elon Musk's team at DOGE is staffed with 19-25-year-olds with no government experience yet given access to sensitive national security information, the troubling conflicts of interest, the plethora of court rulings blocking this insane overreach, and the hapless Democrat opposition. We also discuss how the new US Attorney in DC, Ed Martin, plans to prosecute anyone who impedes DOGE, yet that's not even a crime.

32: Subway Sanitation, Hochul's Reparation Folly, Albany's Criminal Coddling Democrats, NYU-Langone's Transgender Kerfuffle & Musk's Dangerous Takeover of Treasury's Payment Systems.

Welcome to episode thirty-two of David & Stu… Unhinged! As always, we'd like to thank Clara Wang for creating the fantastic artwork for this podcast. In this episode, David and Stu cover the following:

1) Stu's encounter with a young lady on the subway on her way to school clipping her nails but redeeming herself by not littering;

2) Kathy Hochul's reparation committee and the outrageousness of making any such payments when slavery ended 150 years ago and the victims of which are long dead;

3) Albany liberals refused to reform NY's criminal justice reform laws even when asked to do so by state district attorneys, including the pro-criminal Manhattan DA, fat Alvin Bragg.

4) NYU-Langone Medical Center's refusal to perform gender-affirming surgery on minors due to Trump's executive order, which threatens to pull funding of providers performing such procedures; and

5) Trump's dangerous decision to allow Elon Musk access to US Treasury payment systems could potentially jeopardize our national security and finances since Musk has no legal authority to assume this role or much oversight.

31: Disgrace at the Pentagon, Trump's Surrender to Musk, Not So Sweet Caroline, EPA Antics, & the Spending Freeze Debacle

Welcome to episode thirty-one of David & Stu… Unhinged! As always, we'd like to thank Clara Wang for creating the fantastic artwork for this podcast. In this episode, David and Stu cover the following:

1) How Trump blamed DEI for the tragic plane crash in DC when, in truth, Elon Musk forced the former head of the FAA out on inauguration day, and there was no acting director in place because the FAA had fined Musk's company, SpaceX. We can't understand why Trump would be ceding his presidential duties to Musk and worry that when they fall out, there will be no telling which government Musk will try to run next.

2) The petty act of removing General Milley's portrait from the Pentagon and stripping him of his security detail and how this wasn't the behavior we expect from the President of the United States;

3) Caroline Kennedy's scathing condemnation of RFK Jr. and his disastrous performance at his Senate confirmation hearings, where he lied about his stance on vaccines and displayed disturbing ignorance about Medicaid, a program he would be responsible for managing as Secretary of HHS;

4) The shocking cast of characters Trump has filled the EPA with, including one official who fought for the use of asbestos.

5) The completely embarrassing executive order and OMB memo freezing spending, which caused Medicaid portals to shut down in all 50 states, disrupting health care delivery, and the backtracking that occurred when the memo had to be rescinded, yet his press secretary insisted the freeze was still in place.
