जा पर बिपदा पड़त है, सो आवत यह देस॥ रहीम के दोहे भावार्थ : इन पंक्तियों में रहीम जी ने राम के वनवास के बारे में बताया है। जब उन्हें 14 वर्षों का वनवास मिला था, तो वे चित्रकूट जैसे घने जंगल में रहने के लिए बाध्य हुए थे। रहीम जी के अनुसार, इतने घने जंगल में वही रह सकता है, जो किसी विपदा में हो। नहीं तो, ऐसी परिस्थिति में कोई भी अपने मर्ज़ी से रहने नहीं आएगा।

रहीम जी हमें बताना चाहते हैं, कि हमें एक साथ कई सारे काम नहीं करने चाहिए| ऐसे में हमारे सारे काम अधूरे रह जाते हैं हमें एक समय पर एक ही काम करना चाहिए| जिस तरह पौधे को फल फूल देने लायक बनाने हेतु, हमें उसके जड़ में पानी डालना चाहिए, ना कि जल्दी-जल्दी में उसके तनों या पत्तों पर पानी डालना चाहिए और दूसरे काम में लग जाना चाहिए और फिर तीसरे काम में, दूसरे शब्दों में कहा जाए तो हमें मल्टीटास्किंग नहीं करना चाहिए| Rahim ji wants to tell us that we should not do many things at once. रहिमन धागा प्रेम का, मत तोड़ो चटकाय।

टूटे से फिर ना मिले, मिले गाँठ परि जाय॥

●रहीम के दोहे भावार्थ : रहीम के इन दोहों में रहीम जी ने हमें प्रेम की नाजुकता के बारे में बताया है। उनके अनुसार प्रेम का बंधन किसी नाज़ुक धागे की तरह होता है और इसे बहुत संभाल कर रखना चाहिए। हम बलपूर्वक किसी को प्रेम के बंधन में नहीं बाँध सकते। ज्यादा खिंचाव आने पर प्रेम रूपी धागा चटक कर टूट सकता है। प्रेम रूपी धागे यानि टूटे रिश्ते को फिर से जोड़ना बेहद मुश्किल होता है। अगर हम कोशिशें करके प्रेम के रिश्ते को फिर से जोड़ लें, तब भी लोगों के मन में कोई कसक तो बनी ही रह जाती है। दूसरे शब्दों में, अगर एक बार किसी के मन में आपके प्रति प्यार की भावना मर गई, तो वह आपको दोबारा पहले जैसा प्यार नहीं कर सकता। कुछ न कुछ कमी तो रह ही जाती है।
