A few days ago I got an email from Ranae and it went a little something like this...

"Hi Keith

My name is Ranae and I’m a writer and same-sex parenting and lifestyle blogger from Dublin, Ireland. Myself and my wife Audrey have two daughters. Ava is 4 and her sister Arya is 2. I'm also an activist and the CEO of 'Equality for Children' a campaign for equality for children of LGBT+ parents in Ireland.

I'm not sure how much you are aware of when it comes to rights for gay families here in Ireland so I'll give a quick overview. As it stands, I am considered a single parent to our daughters. My wife, who is their biological mom, is considered a legal stranger to our kids because she did not physically give birth to them, I did. Our kids, along with countless others in Ireland, are denied the right to a legal connection with both of their parents, simply due to their parents being LGBTQ+. Most people are horrified when they hear this, and often do not realise how far behind the times Ireland is when it comes to equality for LGBTQ+ families"

So I asked if she was a good talker and would she come on as a guest and she said yes and she did!
