A God-sent episode. Elena is essentially helping me through my quarter-life crisis. Her career path post-college until now. Marketing vs Sales. You owe it to yourself to take a chance. Compatibility and love languages. Finding out what you need for yourself and being able to communicate it...difficult, but worthwhile. Moral of this story: stop accepting less.
Changing your mind is a strength - whether it is a career, a relationship, or your own tendencies. Try everything. Don’t settle for complacency, we have ONE LIFE. Quit feeding yourself bullshit excuses to stay comfortable.
Imposter syndrome - it’s real. Let’s stop putting people in boxes. Empathy gives you the power to not give stupid things power. Self-awareness has been our key factor in growth. When you realize vulnerability is stronger than “being strong”…oof. Being vs doing.
Give yourself grace. Ebbs and flows. Surrounding yourself with the right group of people. What legacy do you want to leave behind? Heavy conversation leaving me lighter is my kryptonite. Still attempting to be eloquent and articulate...stay tuned.
The gaps are where life happens. The pursuit of our goals is the "living", not the goals themselves! Speak your truth when things are good, and live your truth when things are not so ideal. Breaking down my idea of selfish. FILL YOUR OWN CUP.
Meditation - doesn’t have to be a perfect practice to work. We THRIVE off of creative outlets and inspiration, so tap into that shit. Do what FEEDS YOUR SOUL. Don’t dim your light for anyone, shine bright baby. Create your life on a daily basis.
Face the mirror people. Have a resolution every day you wake up. Love languages: know yours and know your people’s. We've grown up some since college...thankfully. Perspective and truth from a new momma and her natural birthing story. Lil Kai made an appearance too.
2020 reflection, in all its glory and garbage. Practice gratitude and be present. Happiness does not come from life’s checkpoints, but more so the moments in between. Take a step back and realize what is really important. BYE 2020
Humor shows over drama shows any day. My quarantine short story. Finding your creative outlet. Stop giving people and situations too much power who don’t deserve it. Control what you can control. And most importantly, don’t count yourself out.
