The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence poses significant risks and challenges, including the manipulation of AI-generated content, which can lead to the spread of false information and reputational harm. Recent incidents, such as AI-generated robocalls impersonating President Biden, highlight the need for lawmakers and regulators to catch up with the technology. To address these concerns, steps are being taken to regulate AI, including the development of labeling systems and the appointment of an Artificial Intelligence Officer. However, more needs to be done to protect against AI-enabled fraud, deception, and sexual privacy violations.
