Introducing “Get These Incels to Work” (feat. Hasan Piker) from Pod Save America.
Follow the show: Pod Save America
Lovett sits down with Hasan Piker, the massively popular progressive streamer, to talk through (and argue about) the hard questions about where the Democratic Party needs to go from here, the liberal media landscape, what the Harris campaign told us about why they lost, and yes, a jobs program for incels. Then, Jon talks to Massachusetts Congressman Seth Moulton about the fight for the House, why blue states like his swung right, and the controversy he kicked up with his comments about trans athletes.

Donald Hoffman, Cognitive Psychologist and Science Author, has proposed a theory of consciousness that challenges your everyday assumptions about what reality is. His argument is that our perceptions of cause and effect and what we experience in the physical world isn’t as real as you’d like to think.
The metaphor of the virtual headset he uses in these conversations with Tom explains why our experiences are limited and there are things like freewill that we never truly experience. If that’s not heavy enough for you, Hoffman bring mathematical equations into the picture to explain that all consciousness is mathematically structured.
This episode is a complete crash course into the world of Donald Hoffman and the illusion of space, time and reality. Some areas you’ll hear explored in this episode include:
Is Cause and effect real?
The God hypothesis and consciousness
Why your reality isn’t real
The Truth behind consciousness
How evolution hides the matrix (and what’s the red pill)
Testing reality & spacetime
Can you actually escape the matrix?
Do you think it’s possible life is a simulation and we’re in some version of a virtual reality headset?

Introducing In conversation with Alisa Carmichael, Investment Partner at VMG Partners from Makers Mindset .
Follow the show: Makers Mindset
Alisa Carmichael is the proud mom of two growing boys and Investment Partner at VMG Partners. Like many investors, she got her start in investment banking before joining the ever-evolving world of private equity. Unlike many of her fellow investors, however, Alisa was a black woman who was grappling with imposter syndrome at every turn. Fast-forward to today and she’s not just embracing her role as mother, daughter, investor, mentor, and friend, but owning it. Her unrelenting focus on the BIPOC community inspired the firm’s formation of The Parity Collective: an initiative focused on investing in founders of color across the consumer industry.

Chasing the wrong things in life, missing opportunities you practically prayed for, and not seeing yourself moving in the direction you wish leaves you feeling lost. It’s like walking aimlessly and wondering when someone will tell you which way you’re supposed to go.
