Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.
I’ve been accused of losing my mind more than once, and apparently bandleader Bob Zurke is losing his mind as well. This week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records starts off by playing some mind games. We’ll also have another episode of “One Thing in Common” where we play a set of rapidly rotating records which seemingly have nothing whatsoever to do with each other yet have one this in common. This time there are six records over two segments. You’re probably familiar with the Hoosier Hot Shots, but in the third segment of the show you’ll hear from and about some other hot shots. And in the second segment we’ll fulfill a request. There lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour to relax over your favorite beverage and be taken back in time to a different era of music.
I hope you are all safe and healthy and doing as well as you can be given the current world situation and stay-at-home orders and that this hour of music gives you a bit of diversion and entertainment. Thanks for listening and best wishes!

This week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records will being and end with two *extremely* different readings of Clement Clarke Moore’s “‘Twas The Night Before Christmas” but that’s the extent of the Christmas “music” this year. In the third segment of the show we’ll take a musical trip to Shanghai, which accounts for the illustrations above. You’ll hear a snippet from “From Here To Shanhai” by Collins and Harlan which mentions the famous Chinese magician Ching Ling Foo. In other segments, we’ll hear some *very* creative rhyming, and get “shot,” but don’t worry, not by bullets. What is the plural of “Dolores.” Doloreses or Doloresi? I ask because we’ll also have a segment with multiple songs about Dolores. There’s plenty of great music and what I think is some fascinating information, so prepare your favorite Yuletide beverage (I think I’ll have a Candy Cane Martini!), get comfortable and click below to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.
