Weekends are usually slow news days so in this episode we are talking about a number of things that happened over the last few days. It's always something. There's no reason to belabor it here. Let's get into it.
Things appear to be coming to a head with regards to the Infrastructure Bill and the Build Back Better Bill. We had a tragedy on a movie set in New Mexico. Jefferey Clark is voluntarily testifying in front of the House Select Committee. Which spells trouble for Donald Trump. President Biden is finally taking a hard look at doing away with the Filibuster. Let's get into it
The House Select Committee said they would get tough on anyone that wouldn't comply with their subpoenas. Well today they did just that. The full House of Representatives voted to refer Steve Bannon to the Department of Justice for Criminal Contempt. Now we will see what the DOJ does with it. So far so good but there is still a couple more steps. Let's get into it.
We have plenty of problems in this country. We would hope that our government could repair these problems. But day in and day out they have yet to do that. There's good news and bad news. It's that we have the ultimate control. That's the good and the bad of it. We have to put in the effort but at least we can do something. Let's get into it.
In our society we keep hearing "What's in it for me?" Or "Why did the get something and I didn't?". It's all about me. But some times what you are getting is off in the distance or even intangible. You can't look at things narrowly and expect immediate gratification if you truly want what's best for our country. Let's get into it.
There are a lot of changes happening to this country as the pandemic is easing up. We need to adjust our understanding and expectations in order to get back on track. This has happened before in our history and we've come out the other side. We will do it again this time around. Let's get into it.
The Bi-Partisan Infrastructure Bill and the Build Back Better reconciliation they say are stalled in Congress. Now Joe Manchin tells us what he wants and no one is surprised. A U.S. Capital police officer is arrested for Obstruction of Justice with regards to January 6th. Donald Trump embarrasses himself again. Let's get into it.
Former FBI Director Andrew McCabe was fired by Donald Trump for doing his job. But it wasn't enough to fire him but he took away his pension and destroyed his reputation. This was pure vindictiveness on the part of Trump. Well, McCabe sued and today he got vindication. Steve Bannon refused to testify in front of the House Select Committee and now we will see if Congress and the Department of Justice have enough "teeth" to hold people accountable. If you've been waiting for Donald Trump to be put under oath, Monday is the day. Let's get into it.
It's not enough that anti vaxxers refused to be vaccinated. When they start threatening school board members, doctors, nurses and others that is a bridge too far. This is the week that the subpoenas the House Select Committee issued come due. It will be interesting to see how that shakes out. Trump illustrates his stupidity perfectly in his latest quote. Let's get into it.
Well the Debt Ceiling has been raised and we've averted certain an economic catastrophe. Unfortunately it's only a temporary fix. Come December third, like Maxine Nightingale once said we will be "Right Back Where We Started From". The anti abortion games continue in Texas and I have an idea to offer a response that Trumplicans might not like. Still waiting on the bipartisan Infrastructure Bill and the "Build Back Better" reconciliation Bill. Let's get into it.
