  • ReadA Book Podcast- Ashely Kalagian Blunt Dark Mode

What did you think? Lets chat!

This creepy thrilling thriller was so far outside my wheel house I read the opening scene and didn't think I'd be able to read further...I am not an ibis lover at the best of times! But goodness, am I glad I did!! I love Ashley's writing ; I am a bit fan of How to Be Australian and My Name Is Revenge so I psyched up and goodness am I glad I did!!!
I was so lucky to chat with Ashley Kalagian Blunt about this novel last week, there is one spoiler in here which I think would have only been a spoiler for me; apparently no-one who has read more than 1 thriller would have been expecting what I was....
Hope you enjoy the conversation and appreciate I did cull a lot of giggling; for a book so creepy and scary we certainly did a fair bit of laughing...
If you like the sound of Dark Mode it's out today!!! And within ReadA Book the Aussie Thrill Seekers bookclub will definitely be reading it in the future, if you want to  join in check out the website for details...

  • ReadA Book Podcast- Clare Wood Intentional Profit

What did you think? Lets chat!

Just something different; in this episode I chat with Clare Wood who is a money mentor, her upcoming book is a non fiction perfect for anyone who wants to have a profit driving machine of a business. I've been a long time listener to The Clare Wood Podcast and completely jumped to attention when she was writing a book.
She gives so much through her podcast and social media that I can only imagine the value Intentional Profit holds!!!

  • ReadA Book Podcast- Nick Wasiliev When Men Cry

What did you think? Lets chat!

I am a big fan of When Men Cry, I really do think everyone should read it. It tackles really important issues like toxic masculinity, asking and receiving help and the importance of mental health management but doesn't hit you over the head with 'issues' you are just reading along staying with the characters...I did also chat with Nick Wasiliev about his job at Booktopia which is now over, but still really interesting I think. I got a lot out of the conversation and I hope you enjoy it too!
As always these episodes are just the tip of the iceberg, there is SO much great chat and connection over on the website x

  • ReadA Book Podcast- Emma Grey The Last Love Note

What did you think? Lets chat!

I love books like PS I Love You and Still Alice; not in a voyeuristic sort of way, but kind of like trying someone else's shoes on. I can't imagine what it is like to be a young window; but after reading The Last Love Note I have a small insight...and being able to chat with author Emma Grey just was an honour. It's a beautiful read about choosing to move on, about love and loss and so much more.
Let me know once you have read The Last Love Note, I hope you do and that you love Emma's writing as much as I do!

  • ReadA Book Podcast- Paul Dalgarno A Country of Eternal Light

What did you think? Lets chat!

Absolutely loved the novel A Country of Eternal Light and the conversation I got to have with author Paul Dalgarno. Such an honour. This is the story of Margaret, who has been dead since 2014 and is revisiting the past, seemingly random events of her life...(not a spoiler, you know going in) I kind of expected to be reminded of Lovely Bones, but this is nothing like that!
I am so embarrassed I haven't read Frankenstein yet, but surely I'm not the only one so I have left in the explanation Paul gave me in this conversation. We definitely don't talk spoilers, but it  will really add to your experience of A Country of Eternal Light...you cant read everything...

  • ReadA Book Podcast- Lisa Ireland The One and Only Dolly Jamieson

What did you think? Lets chat!

This novel is exactly why I read. Wonderful characters so real I feel like I could chat with them. Themes I know intellectually, but haven't engaged with enough, wonderful stories that I can get swept away with...
I am a huge Lisa Ireland fan, and The One and Only Dolly Jamieson is my new Lisa Ireland favourite. So so good!
I was thrilled to get the chance to chat with Lisa again, perhaps too excited, I did let myself completely run out of seconds to wind up the interview properly...sorry!
Hope you enjoy the chat half as much as I did!
