After taking the week off we have lots to get to this week as we recap the official end to the 2019-20 PGA TOUR season, the Tour Championship. While we talk a fair amount about DJ’s big win and debate the merits of the somewhat controversial format, we also take a deep dive into the great year that Mackenzie Hughes had and discuss the significance of even qualifying for the final event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
We also spend some time previewing the upcoming ANA Inspiration, the second major of the year on the LPGA Tour schedule. While it’s usually played in early spring, this year’s iteration of the event will bring unprecedented heat and some tough conditions that will prove to be a great challenge for the world’s elite golfers.
But before all of that, we also talk about John’s recent opportunity to volunteer as the starter at the third event of the Mackenzie Tour’s Canada Life Series at TPC Toronto. To get some more info on the Tour and the brand new series, check out our last episode (RG51) where we interview Scott Pritchard, Executive Director of the Mackenzie Tour.
Check back next week for our US Open preview!
