On August 3, 1981, Ronald Reagan fired 11,000 air traffic controllers. He also banned them from federal government jobs for life. Their crime? Well, they had the audacity to go on strike over unsafe working conditions that put workers and passengers in danger. It signaled an all-out assault on the working class, and that assault has continued for decades, making the rich immorally rich, and the rest of us struggling to make ends meet.
