This episode is a snippet I've taken from an interview I did with @mitch.wallis from @heartonmysleeve a few months ago. I thought I'd re-share this particular part because it will resonate very highly with a lot of people
Mitch answers (in my opinion) one for most important questions around mental health - "How do we ask for help without feeling like a burden?"
Whether you have a diagnosed mental health disorder or not, we all struggle from time to time and sadly not everyone has the power to reach out when they need to most. I believe this plays part in the rising suicide rates in Australia, which is super deep, however needs to be brought to peoples attention
I have people reach out to me all the time and taking that first step can be a game changer. If you don't feel comfortable reaching out to friends or family, I can put you in touch with a professional
I'm not a mental health expert. I'm just a dude who's been through a lot and who really cares
Lastly, If you're struggling - know that people do care, that you're not a burden and that you shouldn't be afraid to reach out to someone
If you could subscribe, rate, review and whatever else the kids do these days It would mean the world to me :)
