  • Success Leaves Clues with Steve Beach
Welcome back!  This is the first interview I have done in a HOT MINUTE!  Steve is a father, husband, and real estate agent.  In this COVID-19 era it was eye opening to talk about what life looks like for a man who is managing to capitalize on opportunities during these tumultuous times versus flail about in the water looking for a life raft to come and save him.  He is the type of person who jumps on opportunities and takes care of his family.  Was he always this on it?  Listen to Steve talk about his evolution as a man and simply as a person in this week's show on Burn Your Boats.

  • Make it Personal
What happens when we acknowledge ourselves as the emotional beings that we are?  What happens when we take that acknowledgement and back it with action?  You can change the entire course of your life when you tie your purpose with your emotions.  That is what separates thinker from doers, and the good from the great.

  • My Runstory | Passion, Crucible, Saving Grace
This is my personal story of the ups and downs around running. I wanted to share this because it exemplifies loss of a part of yourself and the steady downhill roll that can take place afterwards. You get to see how I recovered and what recovery can look like, not pretty, not sexy, not an overnight fix. Ongoing steps, taken day by day to see the slightest improvements. That is how we take those steps forward from loss.

  • In a World of Black and White - Embrace the GRAYspace
We do not like to embrace nuance.  We like this or that.  We like hard and clear lines.  In Theory.  In Movies.  In our minds.  But how often do we actually follow a black and white approach to anything?  Is it beneficial to do so?  What aspects of our belief systems and thought processes the evoke action are best to be laid out hard and without compromise and where should we write things down with a pencil?  Check out this episode and I will give you my take!

  • The Broken Glass in Your Mind
This is where the Broken Glass Theory meets the power of personal narrative in how you see yourself and the impacts on the compelling future you could have versus the undesirable outcomes we want to avoid.  We are not one thing, we are not JUST  a product of our up bringing, not JUST a product of our environment, not JUST an hereditary amalgamation of our parents, we are all of these things and more.  To not acknowledge the impacts of these things is to deny our existence as human beings.  To look at things and to desire that the negative fall out be our fault is to be great.  It is great because you desire the ability to reach out and grasp life and within our clenched hand to reenvision it in a way that is better for you, your family, your friends, and the world around you. This you can start.  Right now.  Click Play.

  • To Burn or Not to Burn
It is here! The Burn Your Boats 1 Year anniversary!!! It has not always been easy, it has caused more than a few additional gray hairs, BUT – of all of the things I have ever created from scratch this has got to be the single most satisfying endeavor I have ever embarked upon. I am honored and humbled to have been able to walk upon that journey with you as none of it is possible or worthwhile without a receptive audience.  As the message continues to expand its reach, we keep drawing in more and more individuals to the community. And with that naturally comes restructuring and a continuous relook and evaluation of the vision and how we can best deliver the message in a meaningful way.

So, I the question is…to Burn or not to Burn? Check out this week’s episode to find out!

  • "Fear is the Mother of Foresight"
This is a quote from Thomas Hardy - 1820-1928 Thomas Hardy, not the modern bad@$$ actor although I am sure he has some amazing quotes as well!
Today I dive into this quote and what it means both to me and possibly where it was derived within the mentality of Thomas Hardy given his time in history and his proclivities.  We also chat about dreams! Yes new age hippy talk! Not really, this is the most tangible and practical discussion on dreams you may ever hear.  And I give you a quick personal insight into myself and my mentality as I continue to shift and get closer to becoming a fully fledged civilian again!
