  • Fairness, Equality, and Joe Rogan?
Yes, that's right! We discuss the intersection of fairness, equality and Joe Rogan! Only here on this show can we interweave the complex in a meaningful way that is both enlightening and entertaining!
It's good to be back in the saddle, and I love that you are still here with me. I look forward to a bright new future as we all continue to learn, develop and grow together.

  • Responding Vs. Reacting: Who is in the Driver'
Do you ever feel like the world is mostly out of your control?  Like things happen and you are just in a perpetual state of reacting to this event or the next event?
    OR
Do you feel like you are in complete control and you respond exactly in the right way at the right time to the right person in the right degree? (Stolen a bit from Aristotle with that question!)
Chances are there is some room for improvement.  There is some room for further understanding yourself and being able to respond to the world, versus living in state of reaction.
I am not saying you will be perfect at this.  Because you won't be.  I am not saying I am perfect at this, because I am FAR from it.  I am asking you to consider what your life would look like if in half, shoot a third! of the confrontations or adversity you encounter you were able to slow your mind down from the reactionary track we manage to keep ourselves in, and shift to being thoughtful, considerate, and to respond with a sense of grace and elegance.
I will take any and all improvements that I can, because that is the name of the game.  Therein lies life's mission.  To never stop moving, always keep improving.

  • Is shame like courage? Yes - here's why...
Shame - or more accurately - our tolerance for shame is akin to the growth of our courage and resilience. The more we allow into our lives the easier it is to create more room for it to live and grow. We need to foster those things we want more of - courage, resilience, and the like; and then minimize those moments of shame by choosing better actions and at the same time super highlight those shameful moments and feelings when they do occur so that way we're encouraging improvement and not perpetual shameful actions.

  • Gear Your Mind to See Opportunities NOW!
There is a lot going on right now.  Technology is enabling us to stay connected to those people and those activities that mean the most to us.
Whether it be your neighborhood, your city, your state or your family across the world.
We can use this tool to help us progress and IMPROVE or we can use it to stoke the flames of fear of uncertainty.
If anyone tells you they know what is going on full stop without doubt you need to cut and run.  Don't argue, don't waste your time with that.

There are things you can control and things that you cannot.
Let us focus on those controllable aspects of our reality and choose one thing that we can improve upon each day regardless of what life throws at us!
