I don't always know when I set up an interview if it's going to be an agreeable conversation, and when I set up today's talk with Alan Holmes, host of the podcast "Hidden Lynchings" and staunch reparations advocate, I wasn't actually sure we'd vibe like we did.
See, Alan and I had gone back & forth a time or two on Twitter/X over reparations, the mechanics of it, the priority (or lack of) Democrats and President Joe Biden seem to give it and the political realities that keep it off the table.
That said, I think we both came away understanding there's work to be done, and pushing to be doing, while not forgetting that unelected leaders can't vote on key issues when they're unelected.
Enjoyed this thoroughly. Learned a lot; hope you do and will, too.
