This episode is all about trauma. What does it all mean? Does your trauma mean more than my trauma? Did I have the best childhood? The ins and outs of how it all plays out now?
It is probably important to mention that this topic is bigger than prince and to cover it in a short space of time would be merely impossible. Be that as it may, in this episode I endeavour to share my perspective of trauma and the not so merry go round it can feel like at times in our life or as the experience occurred. Reason with me to explore that trauma has played a role in each one of our lives whether it be big or small, covert or overt, we have all had less than nurturing experiences or have an old core belief that has shown up over time that shapes the way we see the world for protection or for triumph.

Monqiue Harding's Quote:
You walk into the room and you sat on the chair. You didn't go to sit on my desk or climb the wall or, sit down on the floor. You sat on the chair. It was automatic. You didn't think about it. And that's what you are doing in every area of your life. So your memory is constantly informing how you're reacting in your relationship, what you're saying, how you're behaving, what you're doing, what triggers you, what suits you, so let's get in tune with that and actually connect around it together - Monique Harding

This episode is coming off the back of International Women's Day where I had the privilege of speaking with an incredible and powerful woman Matilda Coy. Matilda is the Founder of The Georgie Collective, a safe space for curious women to connect and grow. The Georgie Collective is built in tribute to Matilda's best friend who passed away after a long battle with depression. The Georgie Collective runs workshops both online and in-person and is growing rapidly. It's business chicks without the hustle culture, less 'girl boss' and more growth partners focused on your holistic health and connection. Matilda reasons with me about all things women through her own journey of self-worth and establishing a community of connected women that is forever growing. Matilda explores with me how connection is the way we get well and that women need to continue to take up space to do so.

Zeke's Quote:
Traditional sovereignty is all about the love. Once you have that, no one can hurt you. it's so, so simple. So that's how powerful the original sovereignty is. That's what somebody needs to be connected to country and connected to culture.

This episode is about the start of something new here at the Reason With Me Podcast. I have looked at what keeps coming up in topics, what the most popular conversations and episodes are. I believe that everything comes back to the relationship we have with ourselves and the relationship we have with others. My focus in counselling, speaking, writing, reading is all about self-worth and relationship as I truly believe how we choose to connect in this world is what allows us to stay well in it. So reason with me as we explore this complex realm that is self and others. Why do we think feel and act the way we do? What drives us? How do we show up and be with ourselves and others? How do we find and thrive in healthy relationships?
